Description
A quick and delicious meal featuring tender chicken in a sweet and savory garlic sauce, served over noodles.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 8 oz noodles (rice or egg noodles)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes to create the sauce.
- Coat the chicken pieces in cornstarch until evenly covered.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, then add the chicken pieces and cook for 6–8 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat evenly. Let simmer for 1–2 minutes.
- Cook noodles according to package directions, drain, and toss with a little oil.
- Add the noodles to the skillet and toss them with the chicken and sauce.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Great served with steamed broccoli or cucumber salad; can customize with vegetables or different proteins.
