Description

A quick and delicious meal featuring tender chicken in a sweet and savory garlic sauce, served over noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes to create the sauce.
  2. Coat the chicken pieces in cornstarch until evenly covered.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, then add the chicken pieces and cook for 6–8 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  4. Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat evenly. Let simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Cook noodles according to package directions, drain, and toss with a little oil.
  6. Add the noodles to the skillet and toss them with the chicken and sauce.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Great served with steamed broccoli or cucumber salad; can customize with vegetables or different proteins.
