Description
Crispy air fryer fried pickles, a healthier twist on a Southern classic, perfect for snacking or as an appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 jar dill pickles (whole or sliced)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the dill pickles into spears or rounds.
- Set up your breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with seasonings.
- Dredge each pickle slice in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the coated pickles in a single layer.
- Lightly spray the tops of the pickles with more cooking spray.
- Cook in the air fryer for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Serve warm with dipping sauce.
Notes
For gluten-free options, use gluten-free breadcrumbs. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
