Description

Crispy air fryer fried pickles, a healthier twist on a Southern classic, perfect for snacking or as an appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 jar dill pickles (whole or sliced)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the dill pickles into spears or rounds.
  3. Set up your breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with seasonings.
  4. Dredge each pickle slice in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the coated pickles in a single layer.
  6. Lightly spray the tops of the pickles with more cooking spray.
  7. Cook in the air fryer for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  8. Serve warm with dipping sauce.

Notes

For gluten-free options, use gluten-free breadcrumbs. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
