Apple Brie Puff Pastry Bites


Description

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Honey (optional, for drizzling)
  • Cinnamon (optional, for sprinkling)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares.
  3. Position a slice of brie and a few slices of apple at the center of each square.
  4. Carefully fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  5. Brush the tops of your pastries with the beaten egg for that beautiful golden finish.
  6. Arrange the pastries on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until they turn a lovely golden brown.
  7. Optional: Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon just before serving for an extra touch of sweetness.

Notes

For an extra crispy bite, keep the puff pastry cold while working. You can substitute apple with pears or figs for a different flavor.
