Ingredients

  • 1 apple (sliced; a Granny Smith or Honeycrisp works well)
  • 4 oz brie cheese (cut into small pieces)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional for drizzling)
  • Cinnamon (for sprinkling, optional for added flavor)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares, about 3 to 4 inches each.
  3. In the center of each square, place a slice of apple and a piece of brie cheese.
  4. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to form a pocket and seal well.
  5. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
