Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (or any milk alternative like almond or oat milk)
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 cup yogurt (optional)
  • Chopped nuts or seeds for topping (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a jar or bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, diced apple, and cinnamon.
  2. Add honey or maple syrup if preferred, and mix well until combined.
  3. If desired, layer in the yogurt or mix it with the other ingredients.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight to let the flavors meld and oats absorb the liquid.
  5. In the morning, stir and top with chopped nuts or seeds if desired.
  6. Enjoy cold or warm in the microwave if preferred.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to three days. Add a splash of milk if the oats become too thick.
