Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the unsalted butter with granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until fully combined.
- Gradually stir the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Carefully fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are beautifully golden brown.
- Allow cooling on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider using dark chocolate or white chocolate chips. Serve with ice cream for an indulgent treat.
