Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the unsalted butter with granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until fully combined.
  5. Gradually stir the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Carefully fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are beautifully golden brown.
  9. Allow cooling on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider using dark chocolate or white chocolate chips. Serve with ice cream for an indulgent treat.
