Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 small tomato, diced (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped cilantro (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the avocados: Halve the avocados, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash it up: Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the avocados to your desired level of creaminess—smooth or chunky, it’s up to you!
  3. Mix in ingredients: Add the lime juice, chopped onion, minced garlic, and diced tomatoes if using. Stir to combine.
  4. Season to taste: Sprinkle in salt and pepper, then taste and adjust as necessary. Add cilantro for that extra fresh flavor, if desired.
