Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, browned
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, brown the butter over medium heat until it develops a nutty aroma and a golden color. Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined—don’t overmix!
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about two inches apart.

- Let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
