Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for icing, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a larger bowl, cream together the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients from the first bowl, stirring until just combined.
- Stir in the ground cinnamon.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden around the edges.
- Optional: Drizzle with powdered sugar icing before serving.
Notes
