Ingredients

  • 6.5 oz Alouette Cheese with herbs (or other soft cheese like Boursin)
  • ½ cup tomatoes, chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons balsamic vinaigrette glaze or reduction
  • Pita chips, crackers, or thinly sliced baguette


Instructions

  1. Spread the soft cheese evenly across the center of a large plate or small platter, leaving a 1/4 inch border around the edges.
  2. Sprinkle the chopped tomatoes evenly over the cheese.
  3. Scatter the fresh basil on top of the tomatoes.
  4. Drizzle the balsamic glaze back and forth over the entire dish.
  5. Serve with pita chips, crackers, or thinly sliced baguette.

Notes

For easier spreading, let the soft cheese sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes. You can prepare the cheese layer and chop the toppings in advance. Adjust the balsamic glaze to your taste.
