Description
A one-pan, creamy Cajun chicken pasta that’s quick, satisfying, and packed with bold flavors.
Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your favorite)
- 1 lb chicken breast, sliced into strips
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken to a plate.
- In the same skillet, add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are tender and fragrant.
- Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir in the Parmesan until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the cooked pasta and mix well so the sauce coats everything.
- Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For lighter sauce, use half-and-half; for sharper flavor, swap Parmesan for Pecorino.
