Description

A delicious twist on the classic comfort food with zesty Cajun flair, perfect for busy weeknights and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup onions, finely chopped
  • 1 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Sliced pickles (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground chicken, cooking until it’s browned, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  2. Once the chicken is cooked, toss in the chopped onions, diced bell peppers, and minced garlic. Sauté until the vegetables soften, approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure everything is combined.
  4. Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes until it’s heated through.
  5. Spoon the flavorful chicken mixture onto the hamburger buns and serve warm, adding sliced pickles on top if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Adjust heat by using less Cajun seasoning or adding more based on your taste preference.
