Description
Delightful tart-sweet candied cranberries that add elegance to any gathering.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries under cool water and set aside to drain.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the water and granulated sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Soak the cranberries in the sugar syrup for about 30 minutes.
- Drain the cranberries and roll them in powdered sugar until fully coated.
- Spread the sugar-coated cranberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and allow them to dry for about one hour.
- Serve and enjoy as a snack or decoration!
Notes
For a twist, add vanilla extract or consider coating them in chocolate.
