Description

An easy and delightful dessert combining caramel and apples, perfect for gatherings or cozy nights.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans of apple pie filling
  • 1 cup of caramel sauce
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup of butter, melted
  • 1 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)


Instructions

  1. In a crockpot, layer the apple pie filling at the bottom.
  2. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apple filling.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the apples and caramel.
  4. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix.
  5. If using, add the chopped nuts and sprinkle cinnamon on top.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 120-180 minutes or until the cake is cooked through.
  7. Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store leftover cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. It can be reheated in the microwave or a low oven.
