Description

Delicious muffins combining cheesy goodness and savory sausage, perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and melted butter until well-mixed.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, then gently fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled sausage.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
  7. Allow the muffins to cool for a few minutes before removing them from the tin. Serve warm.

Store in an airtight container for up to two days or freeze for up to three months. Best enjoyed warm.
