- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup orange zest

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until well blended.
- Fold in the dried cranberries, orange zest, and nuts if you choose to include them.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, ensuring they have enough space to spread.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
