Description

Delightful chewy cookies filled with sweet cranberries and bright orange zest, perfect for the holiday season.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup orange zest
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until well blended.
  5. Fold in the dried cranberries, orange zest, and nuts if you choose to include them.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, ensuring they have enough space to spread.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
