Chicken Alfredo Baked Ziti

Description

A creamy and cheesy indulgence combining tender pasta, succulent chicken, and a luscious Alfredo sauce, all baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • Ziti pasta (or any pasta shape you prefer)
  • Cooked chicken breast, diced
  • Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the ziti and cook until al dente, following package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the chicken. While the pasta cooks, heat a little olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté or broil the diced chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Whisk the Alfredo sauce. In a separate bowl, combine the store-bought or homemade Alfredo sauce with cooked chicken, mixing until well combined.
  4. Combine ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti, the chicken and Alfredo mixture, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix everything until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
  5. Transfer to baking dish. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread it out evenly, and top with the remaining mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the dish for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish and serve. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For added convenience, use rotisserie chicken. This recipe can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
