Description
A creamy and cheesy indulgence combining tender pasta, succulent chicken, and a luscious Alfredo sauce, all baked to perfection.
Ingredients
- Ziti pasta (or any pasta shape you prefer)
- Cooked chicken breast, diced
- Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Parmesan cheese, grated
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the ziti and cook until al dente, following package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the chicken. While the pasta cooks, heat a little olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté or broil the diced chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Whisk the Alfredo sauce. In a separate bowl, combine the store-bought or homemade Alfredo sauce with cooked chicken, mixing until well combined.
- Combine ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti, the chicken and Alfredo mixture, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix everything until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
- Transfer to baking dish. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread it out evenly, and top with the remaining mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
- Bake. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the dish for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and serve. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
