Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread (your choice—sourdough, whole grain, or any favorite)
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional for creaminess)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for grilling
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the shredded chicken and mashed avocado. For an extra creamy texture, stir in mayonnaise and season with salt and pepper.
- On one slice of bread, generously spread the chicken and avocado mixture.
- Top with shredded cheese, then place the second slice of bread on top.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a thin layer of butter. Allow it to melt and coat the skillet.
- Grill the sandwich for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
