Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, bread crumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, around 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cranberry sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Pour the cranberry sauce mixture over the meatballs, ensuring they are well coated.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm as an appetizer or main dish.
Notes
For extra tenderness, do not overmix the meat mixture. You can switch to plant-based options for a vegetarian version.
