Description
Festively decorated deviled eggs resembling Christmas trees, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 dozen eggs
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 3 tablespoons dill pickle relish
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill (plus more for garnish)
- 1 drop green food coloring (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place eggs in a large pot and cover with boiling water. Cook for 12 minutes.
- Transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool for 12 minutes.
- Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a food processor.
- Add mayonnaise, mustard, pickle relish, parsley, dill, food coloring, salt, and pepper to yolks. Process until smooth.
- Fill egg whites with the yolk mixture, piping it in a triangle shape.
- Garnish with diced red bell pepper and additional dill.
Notes
Use older eggs for easier peeling. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
