Comforting baked oatmeal squares infused with cinnamon and maple, perfect for a nutritious breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1 large Egg
- 1 1/2 cups Rolled oats
- 1/4 cup Maple syrup or honey
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 3 tbsp Butter or coconut oil
- 1 cup Milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish to prevent sticking.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Whisk to ensure even distribution of the dry ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, melted butter or coconut oil, and milk until smooth.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until fully incorporated.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the greased baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until set and golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
These oatmeal squares can be enjoyed warm with maple syrup or powdered sugar. They store well in an airtight container for up to five days in the fridge or can be frozen.
