Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda, then set it aside.
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the butter and sugars on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add in the salt, vanilla, and eggs; mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing just until everything comes together smoothly.
- Gently stir in the chocolate chips.
- Using tablespoons, drop the dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
- Bake until the cookies are golden brown, with set edges and soft centers, for around 10-12 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
