A festive treat combining chocolate and refreshing peppermint, perfect for holiday celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1 cup crushed peppermint candies
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons milk (if needed for consistency)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and powdered sugar until well combined.
- Stir in cocoa powder, crushed peppermint, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- If the mixture is too dry, add 1-2 tablespoons of milk until it reaches a workable consistency.
- Roll the mixture into small sticks or your preferred shapes and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Optionally, drizzle with melted chocolate and top with additional crushed peppermint before serving.
