Description
A silky, protein-packed mousse made from cottage cheese that transforms this humble ingredient into a decadent and healthy dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cottage cheese (small-curd preferred)
- 2–3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (for chocolate version)
- 2–3 tbsp honey, maple syrup, or sweetener of choice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: fresh berries, instant coffee, cinnamon, or other flavorings
Instructions
- Bring the cottage cheese to room temperature for best blending results.
- Add cottage cheese to a food processor or high-speed blender.
- Blend for 30–45 seconds until completely smooth.
- Add sweetener, cocoa powder (if using), vanilla extract, and any flavor additions.
- Blend again until creamy and silky.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving.
- Top with fresh berries, spices, or other garnishes of choice.
Notes
For the smoothest texture, use small-curd cottage cheese. Full-fat gives the richest flavor, but low-fat also works well.
