Description
Elegant and simple appetizer of creamy brie enveloped in flaky crescent dough with tart cranberry sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 package of crescent roll dough
- 1 wheel of brie cheese
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- Optional: chopped pecans or walnuts for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Place each triangle in a greased muffin tin, pressing the dough down to form a cup.
- Cut the brie cheese into small pieces and place one piece in each crescent cup.
- In a small bowl, mix the cranberry sauce with the orange zest and spoon it over the brie in each cup.
- If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts on top for added texture.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For best results, use room-temperature brie to ensure it melts evenly. You can assemble them a few hours in advance and bake them just before serving.
