Description

Elegant and simple appetizer of creamy brie enveloped in flaky crescent dough with tart cranberry sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of crescent roll dough
  • 1 wheel of brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • Optional: chopped pecans or walnuts for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  3. Place each triangle in a greased muffin tin, pressing the dough down to form a cup.
  4. Cut the brie cheese into small pieces and place one piece in each crescent cup.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the cranberry sauce with the orange zest and spoon it over the brie in each cup.
  6. If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts on top for added texture.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, use room-temperature brie to ensure it melts evenly. You can assemble them a few hours in advance and bake them just before serving.
