Description

A delightful bread combining the sweet-tartness of fresh cranberries with the zesty brightness of oranges, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Zest of 1 orange


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, orange juice, and orange zest.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped cranberries.
  5. Transfer the batter to the loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before moving it to a wire rack.
