Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1/2 lb Sweet Italian sausage
- 1 tsp Garlic, minced
- 2 tsp Parsley, dried
- 2 large Eggs
- 48 oz Spaghetti sauce
- 12 Lasagna noodles
- 1/4 tsp Pepper, ground
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 3 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 15 oz Ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup Water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ground beef and sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper to the meat; cook for another minute.
- Stir in the spaghetti sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Combine ricotta cheese, eggs, and a little salt in a bowl; mix well.
- Assemble by spreading a layer of meat sauce in a baking dish, followed by noodles, then the ricotta mixture, and a layer of mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and sauce on top.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan and extra mozzarella on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey and add spinach or zucchini for extra veggies.
