Description

A heartwarming classic lasagna filled with layers of savory meat, creamy cheese, and robust sauce, perfect for family gatherings or cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Sweet Italian sausage
  • 1 tsp Garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Parsley, dried
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 48 oz Spaghetti sauce
  • 12 Lasagna noodles
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper, ground
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup Water


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef and sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper to the meat; cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in the spaghetti sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Combine ricotta cheese, eggs, and a little salt in a bowl; mix well.
  6. Assemble by spreading a layer of meat sauce in a baking dish, followed by noodles, then the ricotta mixture, and a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and sauce on top.
  8. Sprinkle grated Parmesan and extra mozzarella on top.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  11. Cool for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey and add spinach or zucchini for extra veggies.
