  • 2 pounds sweet potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or milk for a lighter option)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)


Instructions

  1. Peel and chop sweet potatoes into chunks.
  2. Place the chunks in a large pot of salted boiling water and boil until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Drain the water and return the sweet potatoes to the pot.
  4. Add the butter and cream, then mash until smooth and creamy.
