Ingredients
- 2 pounds sweet potatoes
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (or milk for a lighter option)
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and chop sweet potatoes into chunks.
- Place the chunks in a large pot of salted boiling water and boil until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the water and return the sweet potatoes to the pot.
- Add the butter and cream, then mash until smooth and creamy.
