Description
A comforting and creamy tomato pasta recipe that’s quick to prepare and perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 can (14 ounces) Tomato sauce
- 8 oz Pasta (your choice, but spaghetti works great)
- 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 3/4 cup Heavy or whipping cream
- Parmesan cheese for topping
Instructions
- Start by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions. Aim for al dente for the best texture, then drain and set aside.
- Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Once it’s bubbling, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the tomato paste and let it cook for about a minute, which helps deepen its flavor.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and heavy cream, then season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Finally, add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing until every strand is coated in that creamy goodness.
- Serve warm, and don’t hold back on the generous sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top.
Notes
Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra nutrients. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
