Description

A tender and flavorful dish featuring chicken breasts cooked in a sticky honey garlic sauce, perfect for a busy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, ground ginger, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Place the chicken breasts into the crockpot.
  3. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken within the sauce for a flavorful mix, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider searing the chicken before adding it to the crockpot. You can also swap honey for maple syrup or add sriracha for a spicy twist.
