A delightful and convenient breakfast option made with rolled oats, almond milk, and brown sugar, perfect for busy mornings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional but recommended!)
Instructions
- Add 1/2 cup of rolled oats and 1/2 cup of almond milk into each of four individual 8 oz. mason jars and stir well.
- In a small bowl, mix together the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, brown sugar, a pinch of salt, and maple syrup until cohesive.
- Pour one-fourth of this brown sugar mixture into each jar and stir to mix thoroughly.
- Cover the jars with lids and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or ideally overnight.
- When ready to enjoy, remove from the fridge and top with chopped pecans, additional brown sugar, or maple syrup as desired.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality ingredients. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
