Description
A comforting and satisfying homemade lasagna with layers of meat, cheese, and rich sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 can Tomatoes (crushed or diced)
- 1 jar Marinara sauce
- 12 Lasagna noodles
- 1 cup Ricotta cheese
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Fresh basil or parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, then add the ground beef. Cook until browned, ensuring to break it apart as it cooks.
- Season the meat with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir well.
- Next, add the canned tomatoes and marinara sauce. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the egg and chopped fresh basil or parsley.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of the meat sauce. Add a layer of lasagna noodles, followed by a layer of the ricotta mixture, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat these layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with noodles topped with the remaining meat sauce.
- Finish it off with a generous sprinkling of Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- Let sit for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Feel free to mix and match ingredients, and let the lasagna rest after baking for better slicing.
