Ingredients
- ⅓ cup butter (melted)
- 2 tbsp minced garlic (or to taste)
- 2 tsp garlic powder (or to taste)
- ½ tsp seasoned salt
- ¾ cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
- ½ cup cheddar cheese (finely grated)
- ½ tsp coarse black pepper (or to taste)
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Shredded cheddar cheese (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare an 11×7 inch baking pan by coating it with butter.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, minced garlic, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, ½ cup of cheddar cheese, black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. Mix well.
- Dip each chicken breast into the butter mixture, ensuring to coat all sides.
- Transfer the chicken into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to adhere well on both sides.
- Place the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake uncovered for approximately 35 to 45 minutes, or until cooked through and juices run clear.
- In the last 5 minutes, top the chicken with the remaining cheddar cheese.
Notes
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after baking for juiciness. Consider broiling for a crunchier texture.
