Garlic Cheddar Chicken Breast

Description

A flavorful and easy dish that features succulent chicken breasts coated in a crispy garlic and cheddar topping.

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup butter (melted)
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic (or to taste)
  • 2 tsp garlic powder (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp seasoned salt
  • ¾ cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese (finely grated)
  • ½ tsp coarse black pepper (or to taste)
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Shredded cheddar cheese (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare an 11×7 inch baking pan by coating it with butter.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, minced garlic, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, ½ cup of cheddar cheese, black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. Mix well.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the butter mixture, ensuring to coat all sides.
  5. Transfer the chicken into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to adhere well on both sides.
  6. Place the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  7. Bake uncovered for approximately 35 to 45 minutes, or until cooked through and juices run clear.
  8. In the last 5 minutes, top the chicken with the remaining cheddar cheese.

Notes

Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after baking for juiciness. Consider broiling for a crunchier texture.
