Description

Juicy and flavorful Greek chicken burgers infused with fresh ingredients and Mediterranean flair.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup grated zucchini
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion for topping
  • Tzatziki sauce for serving


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, grated zucchini, chopped red bell pepper, chopped onion, minced garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and feta cheese (if using). Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into burger patties, pressing them gently to ensure they hold together.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side until fully cooked through and nicely seared.
  4. While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patties on the buns and adding lettuce, tomato, and onion as desired.
  6. Serve with homemade tzatziki sauce on the side for extra flavor!

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken mixture for 30 minutes before grilling. Use a meat thermometer to ensure an internal temperature of 165°F.
