Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- ¼ cup diced red onion
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- ¼ cup sun-dried tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 cup baby spinach, roughly chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Butter lettuce (for serving)
- Tzatziki sauce
- Crumbled feta cheese
- Sliced onion
- Sliced tomato
- Sliced avocado
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together the ground chicken, diced red onion, minced garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, chopped spinach, dill, oregano, salt, and pepper until everything is well-combined.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a large patty.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown and are fully cooked through.
- Serve them as is or dress them up in burgers with tzatziki sauce, fresh veggies, and crumbled feta.
Notes
For perfectly juicy burgers, avoid overmixing the patty mixture. A thermometer is recommended; aim for an internal temperature of 165°F.
