Description
A quick and easy twist on the classic Philadelphia cheesesteak using ground beef, sautéed onions and peppers, and melted provolone cheese, served in toasted hoagie rolls.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 4 slices of provolone cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add sliced onion and green bell pepper, sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Push vegetables to one side and add ground beef, cooking until browned.
- Season with salt and pepper and mix well.
- Place provolone cheese slices over beef and let them melt.
- Toast hoagie rolls in the oven or a toaster.
- Fill toasted rolls with the beef, onion, and cheese mixture.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to swap the beef for ground turkey or chicken, or use different types of cheese for variety.
