Description

A classic Mexican dip made with ripe avocados, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1/4 cup diced yellow onion
  • 1 roma tomato, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lime, juiced (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt or flaky sea salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro (leaves and stems)
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, finely diced


Instructions

  1. Peel the avocados and place them in a medium bowl. Use a fork to mash them to your desired texture.
  2. Mix in the lime juice, diced onion, roma tomato, minced garlic, salt, chopped cilantro, and finely diced jalapeno. Stir until well combined.
  3. Taste the guacamole and adjust the salt, lime juice, or cilantro if needed. Garnish with more cilantro if desired.
  4. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or use it as a topping for your favorite Mexican dishes.

Notes

To keep leftover guacamole fresh, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole before sealing in an airtight container.
