Description
A classic Mexican dip made with ripe avocados, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe avocados
- 1/4 cup diced yellow onion
- 1 roma tomato, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lime, juiced (about 2 tablespoons)
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt or flaky sea salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro (leaves and stems)
- 1 jalapeno pepper, finely diced
Instructions
- Peel the avocados and place them in a medium bowl. Use a fork to mash them to your desired texture.
- Mix in the lime juice, diced onion, roma tomato, minced garlic, salt, chopped cilantro, and finely diced jalapeno. Stir until well combined.
- Taste the guacamole and adjust the salt, lime juice, or cilantro if needed. Garnish with more cilantro if desired.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips or use it as a topping for your favorite Mexican dishes.
Notes
To keep leftover guacamole fresh, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole before sealing in an airtight container.
