Description

These savory bite-sized appetizers combine ground beef and Italian sausage topped with gooey cheddar cheese on rye bread, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Sliced party rye bread


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef with the Italian sausage until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until fully combined and creamy.
  4. Spread the meat mixture generously onto slices of party rye bread.
  5. Arrange the slices on baking sheets and sprinkle each with cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, warm in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
