Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup mashed bananas or applesauce
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup dried fruit (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the honey or maple syrup, almond butter, and mashed bananas or applesauce until smooth.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry mix and stir until well combined, folding in nuts or dried fruit if desired.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan, pressing it down lightly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden edges develop.
- Allow bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.
