Description

A quick and satisfying meal of tender shrimp coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Steamed rice or vegetables for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and cornstarch (if using) in a bowl to create the honey garlic sauce.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour the honey garlic mixture over the shrimp and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and caramelize.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve over steamed rice or alongside vibrant vegetables.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the shrimp in the honey garlic sauce for 15-30 minutes before cooking. Serve with optional sesame seeds or chopped green onions.
