Description

Crispy, tender chicken bites coated in flavorful breadcrumbs, perfect for appetizers or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional spices: garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning
  • Cooking oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F if baking, or heat oil in a deep skillet if frying.
  2. Season your chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and any optional spices you prefer.
  3. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, dip it in the egg, and then coat it with breadcrumbs. Press slightly to ensure the coating sticks.
  5. Arrange the coated chicken bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper if baking, or place them carefully in the hot oil if frying.
  6. If baking, cook for about 20 minutes, flipping halfway. If frying, aim for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider double-coating the chicken bites. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for up to three months.
