Ingredients
- 28 oz Fire-roasted canned tomatoes
- 1/2 Medium white onion, diced
- 2 Jalapeno peppers, chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
- 2 Garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup Fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 Lime, juiced
- 1/2 tsp Chipotle chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Granulated sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cumin
Instructions
- Start by combining the fire-roasted tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped jalapeno peppers, diced onion, fresh cilantro, lime juice, chipotle chili, sugar, salt, and cumin in a blender or food processor.
- Pulse the mixture until you achieve your desired consistency. Whether you like it chunky or smooth, it’s entirely up to you!
- Taste the salsa and if needed, adjust the seasoning to suit your palate.
- Serve your homemade salsa with warm tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or grilled meats.
Notes
For a restaurant-quality flair, consider roasting your jalapeno peppers over a flame before adding them to the salsa.
