Description
A decadent blend of creamy chocolate and festive peppermint, this fudge is perfect for cozy nights and holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided)
- 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 4 packages of hot chocolate mix (1/2 cup)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 cups marshmallows (divided)
- 1/2 cup peppermint candy canes or crushed peppermints for garnish
Instructions
- Line an 8×8” pan with foil or parchment paper and spray it with cooking spray.
- In a double boiler, combine 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips, butter, sweetened condensed milk, and hot chocolate mix.
- Stir continuously over medium heat until melted and silky smooth.
- Add 2 cups of marshmallows and stir until they begin to soften.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading evenly and pressing remaining marshmallows into the top.
- Refrigerate for about 4 hours to set.
- Once firm, cut into squares.
- Melt the remaining 1/2 cup of chocolate in the microwave and drizzle over the fudge.
- Let cool completely before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator or in a well-sealed container in the freezer for up to 3 months.
