Description

A quick and easy recipe for flavorful pan-seared chicken breasts that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional)


Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes until golden brown on one side.
  5. Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. If desired, add butter to the skillet and spoon the melted butter over the chicken.
  7. Remove the chicken from the skillet and allow it to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Letting the chicken rest before slicing helps retain moisture. Feel free to experiment with different spices for variety.
