A quick and easy recipe for flavorful pan-seared chicken breasts that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes until golden brown on one side.
- Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- If desired, add butter to the skillet and spoon the melted butter over the chicken.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and allow it to rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Letting the chicken rest before slicing helps retain moisture. Feel free to experiment with different spices for variety.
