Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter (diced)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish.
- Place the chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness of about 0.5 to 0.75 inches.
- Rub olive oil over the chicken breasts to keep them moist during cooking.
- In a mixing bowl, blend together the brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Coat the chicken evenly with this seasoning mixture.
- Arrange the seasoned chicken in the prepared casserole dish, and top each breast with a small slice of butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the chicken’s internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). For an extra touch, broil for an additional 1-3 minutes for a golden-brown finish.
