Description

Easy homemade pizza dough recipe for a crispy and chewy crust, perfect for any topping combination.


Ingredients

  • 2 and 1/2 cups (300 g) bread flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon instant dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon (195 ml) warm water
  • Olive oil (for greasing)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add warm water slowly while mixing on low speed until dough forms, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Increase speed to low-medium and mix for an additional 7 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Lightly grease a large bowl with olive oil, place the dough in, and toss to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit in a warm area for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.
  5. After rising, gently punch down the dough to release air, then it is ready to shape into pizza crust.

Notes

Use warm water around 110°F (45°C) to activate yeast properly. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze leftover dough.
