Easy homemade pizza dough recipe for a crispy and chewy crust, perfect for any topping combination.
Ingredients
- 2 and 1/2 cups (300 g) bread flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon instant dry yeast
- 3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon (195 ml) warm water
- Olive oil (for greasing)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Add warm water slowly while mixing on low speed until dough forms, about 2-3 minutes.
- Increase speed to low-medium and mix for an additional 7 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic.
- Lightly grease a large bowl with olive oil, place the dough in, and toss to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit in a warm area for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.
- After rising, gently punch down the dough to release air, then it is ready to shape into pizza crust.
Notes
Use warm water around 110°F (45°C) to activate yeast properly. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze leftover dough.
