Description

A deliciously easy weeknight dinner featuring chicken seasoned with ranch and simmered in a creamy sauce, perfect for busy families.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. If desired, heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sear the chicken breasts on both sides until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes per side).
  2. In your crockpot, mix together the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until thoroughly combined.
  3. Place the chicken breasts into the crockpot and coat them well with the creamy sauce mixture.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Once the chicken is ready, shred it using two forks and stir it back into the creamy sauce.
  6. For an extra creamy texture, mix in the sour cream and top with shredded cheese and fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Can substitute chicken with turkey or use dairy-free sour cream for dietary restrictions. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months.
