A succulent slow cooker chicken breast recipe that’s easy to prepare and packed with flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 4 tbsp butter (cubed)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 0.5 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp thyme (dried or fresh sprigs)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts all over with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Lay the seasoned chicken in a single layer at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add the cubed butter, minced garlic, chicken broth, lemon juice, and thyme over the chicken.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for about 3–4 hours or on HIGH for 1.5–2 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Once done, slice or shred the chicken and drizzle it with the delicious sauce before serving.
Notes
To enhance flavor, marinate chicken in seasoning for 30-60 minutes before cooking. For added moisture, consider adding more chicken broth halfway through the cooking.
