Delicious and easy-to-make meatballs coated in a sweet and savory sticky sauce, perfect for dinner or as an appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped green onion, egg, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well until fully combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  4. Nestle broccoli florets around the meatballs on the baking sheet.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
  6. Pour the sticky sauce over the meatballs, ensuring they are well-coated.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce is bubbly.
  8. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles for a hearty meal.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
