Ingredients
- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries and pick out any stems or bad berries.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, orange juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Transfer jam into clean jars and allow to cool completely before sealing.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 weeks or freeze for up to six months. Adjust the sugar to taste and consider blending for a smoother texture.
